"The Art of A Good Time"

9 am - 11 am each day
Both sessions for 1 Class Fee

This is a two part class.   On Saturday morning, the student will create a small purse by knitting and purling.  The student will have time to work on the project during the day and evening on Saturday.  On Sunday morning the student will finish knitting the purse if needed.  The process of how to felt by hand will be covered during this session.  For a faster process, the instructor will have a felting machine to complete the process.  
Instructor Fee $30
Material fee:  $20 paid to the instructor the day of class.​
Materials includes wool yarn.

​NOTE:  Student will need to bring: circular knitting needles

Instructor Biography
Anne Bird

Anne Bird’s love is fiber arts. As a child her Grandmother introduced her to her passion of yarns and fabrics and her Mother encouraged her to create her own designs. Anne earned a Master in the Art of Teaching in Creative Arts from the University of Louisville, having been teaching all ages from kindergarten thru high school, plus on the college level since 1975. She is a retired teacher from Clarksville Community School Corporation teaching all areas of high school art.

​Anne is an exhibiting member of the Kentucky Guide of Artists and Craftsman [past president], a member of Handweavers Guild of America, LAFTA, and TNNA, and can be found the first weekend of October exhibiting at St.James Court Art Show. In 1982, Anne opened Designs in Textiles teaching textile classes, carrying supplies and equipment.
