Both sessions for 1 Class Fee

THIS IS A TWO PART CLASS:
Class Description:  Student will create a sampler of weaver controlled techniques.  We will warp our looms and then work on weaver controlled techniques:
* Twining (as seen as part of the warp edge on oriental rugs)
* Pile techniques - rya (both continuous loops and cut ends)
* Open Weaves - Leno to Brook's bouquet and Spanish lace
* Surface embellishment with Soumak
 Class Fee $30 
Material Fee $20 paid to the instructor the day of class.
Materials includes yarn and use of loom.

Instructor Biography
Anne Bird

Anne Bird’s love is fiber arts. As a child her Grandmother introduced her to her passion of yarns and fabrics and her Mother encouraged her to create her own designs. Anne earned a Master in the Art of Teaching in Creative Arts from the University of Louisville, having been teaching all ages from kindergarten thru high school, plus on the college level since 1975. She is the senior faculty member of the Clarksville Community School Corporation teaching all areas
of high school art.

Anne is an exhibiting member of the Kentucky Guide of Artists and Craftsman [past president], a member of Handweavers Guild of America, LAFTA, and TNNA, and can be found the first weekend of October exhibiting at St.James Court Art Show. In 1982, Anne opened Designs in Textiles teaching textile classes, carrying supplies and equipment.
